Pete and Lynne Blackford have been producing and selling the finest quality Dexter beef for over ten years.
All their Dexter beef is home bred and naturally reared on lowland pastures on their smallholding in Overton-on-dee, close to Wrexham, north wales.
All their beef is extensively reared, benefiting from a truly free-range outdoor life, whilst they receive the highest standards of care.
Once the cattle are fully matured, the cows only travel a short distance to a local family-run abattoir and butchery, where the cows are treated with respect and care before slaughter. They are then hung for at least 3 weeks. Their butchers then cut and pack the meet to customer requirements and are then ready for the shelf.
Due to the slow rearing process of this meat, it is not stocked regularly in our shop. We have a delivery every few months, we usually have a stock in our freezer and are happy to take orders for when the beef arrives.
