Rock gardens

Pulsatilla vulgaris : A small plant with frilly leaves and woolly stems. Large purple flowers with a yellow centre produced in the spring. 

Dianthus carthusianorum : A mounded plant with grassy green foliage and clusters of magenta pink flowers on tall stems in summer. 

Campanula persicifolia : Forms a slow growing mound of green leaves, and masses of bell shaped, delicate blue flowers June to August.
